Available now is a poster-size infographic about Northern Goshawks, which are hawks that live in the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Lake Tahoe. They have short and broad wings and long tails. These amazing birds of prey are secretive, but can occasionally be seen flying through the forest hunting for their next meal. Available now is a poster-size infographic about Mount Tallac, a prominent peak found on the south shore of Lake Tahoe, CA. I created this infographic as a design art piece that’s not only beautiful to look at (in my opinion!), but also functional in that it provides information about Mount Tallac as well as some hiking and backpacking wisdom I’ve acquired over the years. The 1st Annual Sierra Poetry Festival, held at Sierra College in Grass Valley, CA, is officially in the books. I had a great time participating as an assistant to Karen Terrey (of Tangled Roots Writing) to help vendors set up their stations in the library, as well as being a vendor at the event. Although I did not get the chance to listen to the featured poets or participate in the workshops (I was there to sell books, after all), I did have the opportunity to meet some great writers and artists.
